Privacy Policy

ReefCrafter is a free, vendor-agnostic reef tank build planner. We try to collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains what we do collect, why, and what your choices are.
What we collect
- Saved builds: when you save or share a build, we store the build configuration (selected products, your goals) in our database. We don't store anything sensitive — no payment info, no home address.
- Email address: only if you give it to us (sign up, save a build, subscribe to the newsletter). We use it to send you your saved builds and occasional updates. We never sell or rent email addresses.
- Anonymous analytics: we use server-side and privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and clicks. No third-party advertising trackers.
- Affiliate cookies: when you click an outbound vendor link, the destination vendor sets a cookie to attribute the purchase to us. See our affiliate disclosure. We do not set or read those cookies ourselves.
What we don't collect
- Payment information — we don't process payments.
- Cross-site advertising profiles — we don't use ad networks.
- Health data, location data, or anything sensitive.
Your data, your choices
You can request export or deletion of any data tied to your account by emailing privacy@reefcrafter.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Service providers
We use:
- Supabase (database + auth)
- Vercel (hosting)
- An email service provider (for newsletters and transactional email)
Each of these has its own privacy policy and only receives the minimum data needed to provide the service.
Children
ReefCrafter is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We'll update this page when our practices change meaningfully. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
